📄 Terms of Service for Estimates

I. Service Authorization and Scope

  • Authorization: The customer authorizes 208 Tire to perform the diagnostic services and/or repairs specified in this estimate. The customer also authorizes the purchase and installation of necessary parts.
  • Estimate Validity: This estimate is valid for 30 days from the date issued. After this period, prices for parts and labor are subject to change without notice.
  • Price Variation: While we strive for accuracy, the final cost may vary from the estimate due to unforeseen issues discovered during the repair process or fluctuation in parts pricing. If the final price exceeds the estimate by more than 10%, we will contact the customer for approval prior to proceeding with the additional work.
  • Road Testing: The customer authorizes road-testing of the vehicle to properly diagnose problems and verify the effectiveness of the initial repair.
  • Storage Fee (Post-Authorization): If the authorized vehicle is brought in for repair and left for more than 3 days before approval to proceed is granted, it may be subject to a storage fee of $25 per day.

II. Preliminary Terms

  • Valuables: 208 Tire is not responsible for loss or damage to items left in the vehicle. Please remove all valuables.
  • Hazardous Waste: Disposal fees for hazardous materials (oil, fluids, tires, etc.) are included in the estimate or will be added as a separate line item on the final invoice.
  • Payment Requirement: A deposit of 20% may be required before special-order parts are ordered.

Customer Authorization: I have read and agree to the Terms of Service for this Estimate and authorize the work described above.

📄Terms of Service for Invoices

I. Payment and Vehicle Release

  • Payment Due: Payment for all parts and services is due in full upon the completion of the work and prior to the release of the vehicle.
  • Accepted Methods: We accept Cash, Major Credit Cards, Check
  • Late Payment/Returned Checks: A service charge of $50 will be applied to all returned checks (NSF). Unpaid balances may incur a late fee of 1.5% per month or the highest amount permitted by law.
  • Mechanic’s Lien: The customer grants a mechanic’s lien on the vehicle to secure the amount of the repairs. The vehicle will be held until the full amount of the invoice is paid.
  • Vehicle Abandonment: Vehicles left on the premises after notification of job completion and non-payment for more than 20 days may be considered abandoned and handled according to state law, subjecting the vehicle to sale to recover costs.

II. Limited Parts and Labor Warranty

208 Tire warrants that the parts installed and the labor performed will be free from defects under normal use and service, subject to the conditions below.

  • Standard Warranty Period: 12 months or 5000 miles, whichever occurs first, from the invoice date. (Warranty details for specific parts, like tires, are noted below.)
  • Warranty Exclusions: This warranty is void if the failure is caused by accident, misuse, abuse, vehicle modification, failure to perform recommended maintenance (e.g., oil changes, rotations), or if repairs are made by anyone other than 208 Tire.
  • Claim Procedure: To initiate a claim, the customer must return the vehicle and the original invoice to 208 Tire for inspection. Our sole liability under this warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of the defective part(s) or labor. This warranty does not cover towing, rental fees, or incidental damages.

III. Tire-Specific Terms

  • Manufacturer’s Warranty: New tires are covered exclusively by the manufacturer’s warranty. We will assist in processing claims but do not warranty the tires beyond the services we perform (mounting, balancing, rotation).
  • Road Hazard: Road Hazard coverage is NOT included unless explicitly purchased and noted as a line item on this invoice.
  • Maintenance: Failure to perform tire rotations and balancing every 5000 miles (or as per manufacturer recommendation) may void the manufacturer’s warranty.
